H.M.King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 82nd Birthday Anniversary Commenorative Stamp
Date of issue : December 5, 2009On January 14th, 2009, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presented the Global Leader Award in the area of Intellectual Property to His Majesty the King. This is the first time that the award has been given. The WIPO aims to present this award to a person who has played an active role in promoting rights in intellectual property through the support of innovation and creativity at a national level and that person should be involved in creative activities and have protected his own innovation through exercising his rights over intellectual property.
His Majesty's innovations reflect his creativity and he has set a good example for other innovators to follow in creativ new innovations. He has thus been deemed as an appropriate recipient of this distinguished awards.
